Interaction design, Маркетинге и даже в гибких методологиях разработки.
Персонажи – абстрактное представление реального человека, для описания группы пользователей. Персонаж базируется на предположении, что именно этот человек будет использовать продукт.
Сценарии, Пользовательские истории, Варианты использования
В какой-то момент, во время обсуждения требований к проекту, возникает невообразимая путаница с терминологией:
Сценарии (Scenarios), пользовательские истории (User Story) и варианты использования (Use Cases).
Несмотря на сходство в именах, результат работы будет отличаться, так как каждый из терминов предназначен для определенной аудитории.
Диаграмма ментальной модели
Mental model diagrams depict the steps involved in a task procedure and indicate how users are supported by the website or application at every step. The diagram may be divided into two halves; the top half represents the user’s mental model, and the bottom half represents how each task is supported by the system. Mental model diagrams are useful for developing the task flow of a system and for identifying gaps where a system design does not fully support its users.

Eberts (1994) [1] describes four Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) design approaches that may be applied to user interface designs to develop user-friendly, efficient, and intuitive user experiences for humans. These four approaches include the Anthropomorphic Approach, the Cognitive Approach, the Predictive Modeling Approach, and the Empirical Approach. One or more of these approaches may be used in a single user interface design.
